The head office is based in Chicopee as well as the production plant and the service dept. , while the Sales office is located in Chicago. The Company was formed by the merger of the former Convergent Laser Division of PRIMA North America and the OSAI US branch.
Convergent is a brand of Prima Electro specialized in the design and manufacture of multi-kW fast axial flow CO2 lasers and high peak power pulsed Nd:YAG lasers for demanding drilling and cutting operations. The Convergent lasers product series has developed unique characteristics, geared towards electrical efficiency and lower consumption. The resonator of the Convergent lasers product series is the result of a design philosophy based on force balanced components, symmetry and near-zero growth advanced composite elements. High pointing precision and machined aluminium end plates for increased optical stability. Everything has been designed to adhere to the highest standards of reliability and resistance.
