Responsible Supply Chain
Responsible Supply Chain Management
Our supply chain involves electronic component suppliers, metal materials providers, and service providers distributed internationally: ensuring that ethical, environmental, and social standards are respected along this supply chain is an integral part of our corporate responsibility. We have developed operational tools for supplier qualification, evaluation, and dialogue—a continuously evolving system that updates in tandem with European regulations and the growing expectations of clients and stakeholders.
Supplier Questionnaires and Code of Conduct
Supply Chain Transparency: Code of Conduct and ESG Questionnaires
- Target 8.7 - Eradicate forced labour, end modern slavery and human trafficking and secure the prohibition and elimination of child labour
- Target 8.8 - Protect labour rights and promote safe and secure working environments for all workers
- Target 12.6 - Encourage companies to adopt sustainable practices and to integrate sustainability information into their reporting cycle
Prima Electro's relationship with its suppliers is grounded in an ethical and operational framework formalized in the Supplier Code of Conduct, which is an integral part of every supply agreement.
The Code—aligned with the principles of the United Nations Global Compact—defines the minimum requirements that Prima Electro demands from its partners across five areas: legal compliance and anti-corruption, labor rights and human rights, workplace safety, quality and technical compliance, and environment and sustainability. This responsibility extends to the entire supply chain: each supplier is required to ensure compliance with these same standards among their own sub-suppliers.
Acceptance of the Code is a mandatory prerequisite for establishing and continuing any supply relationship. Prima Electro reserves the right to conduct checks and audits, and may terminate the contract in the event of serious and repeated violations.
To support the Code, Prima Electro is developing a structured system of ESG questionnaires aimed at active suppliers. The goal is to map the supply chain's maturity level on environmental, social, and governance issues—and to transform the collected data into a constructive dialogue oriented toward progressive improvement.
Conflict Minerals (CMRT/EMRT)
Responsible Minerals: Conflict Minerals Management
- Target 8.7 - Eradicate forced labour, end modern slavery and human trafficking and secure the prohibition and elimination of child labour
- Target 12.2 - Achieve the sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources
- Target 16.1/16.4 - Reduce all forms of violence / Significantly reduce illicit financial and arms flows
The electronics industry relies on minerals—tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold (3TG), and cobalt—whose extraction in certain regions of the world is linked to severe human rights violations and the financing of armed conflicts. Prima Electro addresses this risk responsibly, in line with the principles of its Supplier Code of Conduct and inspired by the United Nations Global Compact.
Prima Electro compiles and manages the CMRT (Conflict Minerals Reporting Template) and EMRT (Extended Minerals Reporting Template) in response to customer requests—particularly in the defense and advanced industry sectors.
The company has chosen to treat these compliance requirements not as a passive obligation, but as the starting point for a structured responsible supply chain policy, with the intention of proactively expanding their use in the coming years.
This commitment anticipates an evolving European regulatory framework—from the EU Regulation 2017/821 on conflict minerals to the upcoming directive on corporate sustainability due diligence—which is set to become binding for the entire industrial supply chain.
